Clevedon is a town in North Somerset, with a population of 21,398 in 2021. It lies along the Severn Estuary; its branch railway closed in 1966, with Yatton the nearest station.
Clevedon Pier, opened in 1869, is one of the earliest surviving examples of a Victorian pier. Other landmarks include Wain’s Hill, with Iron Age hillfort remains, and Clevedon Court, built by Sir John de Clevedon around 1320.
