About Manston
Manston is a village and civil parish in the Thanet district of Kent, 1.5 miles north-west of Ramsgate. The 2011 census recorded 1,138 residents in the civil parish.
Thanet Parkway railway station, one mile south of the village, opened in July 2023. Kent International Airport, formerly RAF Manston, closed in May 2014. St Catherine’s Church was built in 1872, and the RAF Manston Museum records the airfield’s history.
