About Market Rasen
Market Rasen is a town in the West Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, about 16 miles north-east of Lincoln and 18 miles east of Gainsborough. The 2011 census recorded 3,904 residents.
The railway station opened in 1848, and the town lies on the A46 between Lincoln and Grimsby. Landmarks include Market Rasen Racecourse and the Corn Exchange, completed in 1854. The River Rase flows through the town.
