About Spennithorne
Spennithorne is a village in lower Wensleydale, two miles south-east of the market town of Leyburn, in North Yorkshire. It was part of Richmondshire district from 1974 to 2023. The 2011 Census recorded 198 residents.
A railway station served the village from 1856, and the nearest current station is at Leyburn. St Michael and All Angels Church, Grade I listed, was erected around 1166. Spennithorne Hall is Grade II listed and dates mainly from the early 18th century.
